Last summer, I had the honor of photographing a motherhood session for Sadie and her boys. Sadie is a master gardener and has spent years cultivating a lush garden in her Denver home. If you’re a Colorado home gardener, you’d understand that cultivating a flourishing garden can feel like an ever-changing challenge. From our clay soil, fluctuating weather patterns, intense sun and designing around wildlife interruptions, creating a stunning outdoor space takes hard work and dedication. Getting food from that space can be even harder!
Aside from this session being in their adorable family garden, what made this session extra special was that Sadie and her family were in the process of buying a new home. I felt very honored that I was able to help Sadie preserve memories of their first family garden before they moved. And when years have gone by and the memories have faded, they will have these tangible reminders of this special space.
When you live in a picturesque state like Colorado, it is very understandable why one would opt for an outdoor family session at one of our open spaces. But if you’re looking for something different this year… A family garden session is perfect and often overlooked. July through September is a great time for family garden sessions. As you may know, all those summer veggies, like tomatoes and peppers, are finally ready to harvest! These types are sessions are truly personal to you and your family, and are memories that you’ll never regret having documented. Contact me today to book your family garden session.
